West of Scotland Housing Association welcomes Donna Paton as new director of finance
Donna Paton has been appointed as director of finance at West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA) following the retirement of current director, Colin MacCallum.
Having started in the post in early June, Donna will be responsible for the development of our strategy, policy and performance in respect of finance and IT services and ensuring the overall financial wellbeing of WSHA and its subsidiaries.
Donna said: “This appointment provides me with a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative and customer focused organisation where tenants are at the heart of everything we do and shapes the vision for the future. I very much look forward to getting to know the Board, the wider leadership team and all my new colleagues at WSHA.”

Donna began her accountancy career working as a management accounts assistant with British Aerospace, before moving to the Scottish Legal Aid Board where she studied towards her ACCA Chartered Accounting qualification. She then took up a finance officer role within Trust Housing Association, where she gained her ACCA qualification and progressed to finance operations manager, then to head of finance.
A brief spell was then spent within the commercial sector, before moving back into the housing sector taking up the post of group head of finance at Cairn Housing Association, before taking up post as head of finance at Poppyscotland.
