Wheatley Group toasts success at CIH Excellence Awards
Wheatley Group is celebrating after it won four awards at the CIH Excellence Awards.
The housing, care and property-management group, and its largest subsidiary GHA, won awards for:
- Excellence in Learning and Development – Wheatley Group’s ‘Transforming our frontline response to domestic abuse’ project.
- Excellence in Housing Innovation – 415 Livingwell Innovation Hub.
- Excellence in Leadership – GHA’s Jennifer Russell.
- Apprentice of the Year – Wheatley Group’s Jenna Lamb.
Housing minister Kevin Stewart congratulated the UK’s largest builder of social-rented homes after it picked up the honours.
He said: “Congratulations to Wheatley Group on their success at the CIH awards. This is a true testament to their innovative work across a range of services, including tackling domestic abuse and supporting independent living for older people.”
The Scottish awards received a record number of entries, with over 100 projects, teams and individuals competing in the 18 award categories.
Callum Chomczuk, director of CIH Scotland, added: “There was an impressive standard of excellence and everyone should be proud of what they have achieved.”
The awards were held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on Friday night and celebrated excellence in the Scottish housing sector with over 400 guests attending the annual event.
