A total of 109 residences located west of Glasgow’s city centre in Whiteinch are set to receive new kitchens, bathrooms, boilers and windows as part of a suite of works to extend the lifecycle of each property and improve the living environment for tenants.
CCG has already completed over 315 residences since May 2021 and has worked on behalf of WSHA for a number of years across various workstreams.
This latest contract will be undertaken over a 16-month period and was procured via Procurement for Housing Scotland (PfH Scotland).
David McCormack, property services officer from WSHA, said: “WSHA have been thoroughly pleased to date with the works that have been carried out. It has been completed to a high standard and the tenants have been satisfied with the installations. We look forward to continuing this project with CCG for the remaining contracted years.”
Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management manager, added: “We are delighted to commence this latest contract with Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association which will see us deliver essential upgrades to 109 residences.
“The Asset Management team has worked on behalf of the association for a number of years now; we understand the extent of works that will be undertaken in each property however, thanks to our site team’s expertise and our dedicated Tenant Liaison service, we will ensure quality of workmanship and a streamlined delivery to minimise the impact on the tenant’s day-to-day living arrangements.
“We thank WSHA for the appointment and look forward working with tenants as we head into the New Year.”
PFH Scotland commercial manager, Chris McGinn, said: “It’s great to see the latest stage of this programme get up and running. We are delighted to have played a part in such an important project which has had such a positive impact on the lives of Whiteinch & Scotstoun’s tenants.”
