Williamsburgh Housing Association holds summer gala day
The sun had its hat on for Williamsburgh Housing Association’s summer gala day, held recently at the Seedhill Community Sports Ground in Paisley.
Attractions on the day included fun for the kids, with bouncy castle, giant slide, gladiator duel, face painting and animal man.
Also on offer were various crafts and food stalls, tombola and performances throughout the afternoon from Loud ‘n’ Proud and the Linwood Community Choir.
The event was sponsored by many local businesses and organisations.
Reflecting on the event, the Association’s director, Gordon Williamson, indicated that the gala had been a great success.
He said: “Helped by glorious weather, the Association’s gala was a huge success. Our aim of putting something back into the communities in which we operate was clear from the smiling faces of those in attendance. While fun obviously played a large part in the day, it also gave us the opportunity to raise the Association’s profile, meet with existing and potential tenants, and generate funds for a local charity.”
