Work starts on 172-home development at Paisley site
Construction has begun on a new housing development which will bring 172 properties to a former car manufacturing site in Paisley.
The Coatsbrae development, by Keepmoat Homes, features a range of two, three and four-bedroom energy-efficient homes which sees Solar PV panels fitted to all properties as standard.
The name Coatsbrae is a nod to Paisley’s rich history in the textile industry, specifically the Coats family who famously owned weaving mills in the area.
Beth McNeil, regional managing director of Keepmoat Homes, said: “This area of Scotland has historically been at the forefront of industry and innovation, and we are proud to continue this tradition with our eco-friendly homes.
“At Keepmoat Homes, our aim is to make a positive impact on the communities we build in, and we are confident that our Coatsbrae development will benefit not only the area, but the lives of those who chose to live there.”
Work at Coatsbrae is expected to take three years, with the first homes available to purchase early 2020, and the first residents expecting to move in summer 2020.
