The event for Ypeople will take place at Cawder Golf Club in Glasgow on August 30.

Ypeople said the funds raised will go towards starter packs which are given to every person and family the charity supports to help them settle into their new homes. They also go towards days out for young people supported by the intandem mentoring project, and provide new opportunities and experiences for those in supported accommodation.

Only just this week a group of four young people and their support workers from Branston Court in Glasgow completed the West Highland Way. This is a huge achievement for everyone involved and something which would not have been able to happen without this kind of financial support.

Every year, organisations from across Scotland come together to play 18 holes while fundraising to support the life-changing work that the charity does. With prizes such as 1st Scramble, 1st Stroke Play, Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and Straightest Drive.

You can spend the day having fun, testing your skills, and knowing you are contributing to something important. Even if you are not a golfer you could consider sponsoring one the awards and by doing so your company branding will be visible on the day.

Ypeople supports positive change in people’s lives. As Scotland’s first “Psychologically Informed Organisation”, it specialises in homelessness support, counselling, and mentoring, helping people to fulfil their potential whatever barriers they may have faced.

The fundraising event on August 30 takes place at Cawder Golf Club, a great test of golf with stunning views afforded over the Campsie Hills and a wide variety of holes that test the best of golfers. With its mixture of lush fairways, woodland and water features, it presents a wonderful challenge for every standard of golfer, and the money raised makes a real difference in the lives of many people.
