Understanding Performance Management - all you need to increase productivity, performance and personal professionalism in 2021

Working hard or hardly working? Which are your staff?

If people are the greatest asset in housing associations and co-operatives, then good performance management is critical for our success.

Employees need to understand what’s expected of them, and to achieve those goals they must be managed so that they’re motivated, have the necessary skills, resources and support, and are accountable.

All managers with responsibilities for performance management should receive training to help them manage performance effectively. Performance management aims to monitor, maintain and improve employee performance in line with your association’s/co-operative’s objectives.

Managing performance is a continuous process which involves making sure employees perform to their personal potential.

As a manager, team leader or supervisor, there are some tasks that are less enjoyable. More often than not, the employee performance level is one of those responsibilities. Like all things, practice makes perfect, and the same could be said for conducting an effective and engaging performance conversation.

With a little finesse and some training, you can conduct better performance reviews for the benefit of you and your team/s.

If you have responsibility of managing individuals, teams or you are responsible for monitoring performance within your association/co-operative then SHARE’s Understanding Performance Management course is for you. This one-day course will take place on 24th March with an online delivery.
