Who is it for and what is it about?

Ensuring good governance is a central part of the role of every committee and board. Governance failures will increase the likelihood of regulatory intervention and damage to the organisation’s reputation. This course is designed for committee/board members to direct them to the areas they should be scrutinising and the questions they should be asking at meetings to ensure good governance.

• Practices and procedures related to strong governance at your committee/board meetings
• Creating good governance cultures in your organisation

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, delegates should:

• Understand the importance of good governance in your organisation and in the sector more widely
• Be able to recognise what are good practices in relation to encouraging a strong governance culture
• Be able to scrutinise their organisations governance practises and ask questions about this where required
