For over 50 years Bield Housing & Care has enabled older people to live the life they want through provision of affordable homes and support services.

Bield’s promise “Free to be” underpins the organisation’s commitment to ensuring older people have the freedom to make their own choices and live as independently as possible.

Bield has an established business strategy for 2018 – 2023 to keep the focus on customers and to set objectives and outcomes which will see improvements across the organisation, its services and the lives of its tenants.

Experience desired: 

  • Asset Management/Property
  • Health & Safety
  • Charity/Corporate Law / Regulatory Compliance
  • Health and Social Care
  • Housing Management

The commitment would be around 7 Board meetings per year plus an expectation to sit on one of our Committees:

  • Audit & Risk: at least 4 x per year
  • People & Staff Governance: at least 2 x per year 

Candidates should have a real passion for contributing to positive social impact and align with Bield’s Values and Vision for the future, embracing the promise “Free to Be”.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their skills and experience whilst providing support and guidance to one of Scotland’s biggest housing associations.
