Energy Advisor

Clyde Valley Group are excited to be recruiting for a part time Energy Advisor to join our highly dedicated team operating within our Customer Services department and help us meet the needs of our customers and communities.

As we embark upon our new Corporate Plan for 2020-25, we are keenly aware of the challenges our customers can face, particularly in light of recent changes in the energy sector. This post, with funding for a year, is a unique opportunity to have a real impact on communities in Lanarkshire to help reduce fuel poverty.

You will have significant knowledge of current fuel poverty issues and have experience of providing energy advice, advocating for customers and liaising with energy providers and other related external agencies. Knowledge and experience of the social housing sector would also be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide energy advice to CVHA customers and wider communities through various initiatives
  • Focus on alleviating fuel poverty and promoting tenancy sustainment
  • Identify sources of funding to support initiatives
  • Deliver workshops on energy advice
  • Be proactive in seeking out and supporting customers who may find interactions with other agencies difficult
  • To look at the wider issues of Fuel poverty across North and South Lanarkshire and contribute to raising awareness of steps that can be taken to tackle Fuel Poverty
  • To develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to monitor the impact of your work
  • Engage and build relationships with third parties
