About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of setting up and developing a new homelessness service in Fife. The service is a test of change and forms part of the RRTP in Fife. The services will be led by Kingdom Support and Care CIC and be delivered in conjunction with our partners, The Richmond Fellowship Scotland and Frontline Fife.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of an assertive outreach and temporary accommodation service in Central Fife, supporting those who experience repeat homelessness to plan, source and maintain housing solutions with support which enable people to break the cycle of homelessness and live well.
You will lead, in conjunction with managers, the development and delivery of the Assertive Outreach Service and Temporary Accommodation with support service through a Housing First approach in Fife through partnership working and will oversee the set up and day to day running of Hunter House Temporary Accommodation with Support Service. Resilience, confidence and communication skills are key.
You will be required to oversee and manage referrals and risk assessments, ensuring that appropriate support is planned and delivered, including carrying a case load and direct delivery of support.
The role will also include staff supervision and support for work carried out as part of the service and highlight any concerns to the KSC senior manager and project board. A sound knowledge of the Care Inspectorate, National Care Standards and SSSC codes of practice is essential.
You will be passionate about and experienced in working to reduce homelessness and have an understanding of trauma informed practice.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated candidate who is solutions focused and capable of balancing a number of conflicting priorities whilst remaining professional and delivering the highest quality of support.
If you have a minimum of 3 years experience in the support and care field with recent and relevant experience of working in homelessness together with a minimum of 1 years experience of managing and supervising staff and hold an SVQ 3 or above in Social Work, Health or relevant degree, in line with the SSSC registration criteria this could be an opportunity for you! You will have skills and experience in using various IT packages.
You will be required to be flexible and have a good understanding of the principles of Housing First and outcome focused support.
