The Role

Link is seeking a Factoring Officer (£29,356 - £37,185, dependent on skills and experience) to deliver services to homeowners across the central belt, from the Falkirk based Factoring team.

The Property Management (Factoring) Officer will consult owners about factoring services, follow arrears procedures and carry out regular non-technical inspections in communal areas, reporting repair issues to technical staff or the in-house repairs team as required.

The post holder will be supported by a wider factoring team and a range of policies and procedures. They will work in a fast paced environment, managing an assigned patch including customer contact, complaints resolution and new development handovers, in liaison with colleagues from Link’s factoring, repairs, technical and finance teams.

About You

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification or equivalent experience within a factoring, property management, repairs or housing role.

The postholder will require excellent written and verbal communication skills to conduct meetings with homeowners, and excellent organisational and time management skills to respond to changing priorities to meet deadlines.

You will have an understanding of factoring legislation including the Code of Conduct for property factors and an eye for detail to understand title deeds and billing.
