Senior Housing Services Officer – Link Housing Association





The Job

As part of a multi-skilled team, the postholder will contribute to the provision of a high-quality service to customers. The post holder’s specific responsibilities will be to take a leading role in the team to ensure the Association’s housing stock is managed to the highest possible standards.

The Senior Housing Services officer will guide, support and mentor Housing Officers to ensure effective communication, good service provision and targets set are being met and manage and monitor the workflow/workload of the team and delegate appropriately during periods of absence. The postholder will have full line management responsibility for area-based administrators in accordance with policy and procedure, including recruitment, induction, performance management and disciplinary procedures.

The postholder will be responsible for carrying out initial investigation for stage two complaints within agreed timescale and provide report and timeline to investigating Housing Services Coordinator, whilst advising, supporting and mentoring the Housing Officers to deliver on tenancy sustainability initiatives.

You will need:  

  • Excellent standard of education
  • Working knowledge and awareness of housing legislation
  • Working knowledge of Housing Benefit
  • Working knowledge of choice-based lettings
  • Experience of all aspects of dealing with wide range of housing management issues, in particular arrears control, void management, Anti-Social Behaviour and tenant participation
  • Experience of working in partnership with other voluntary agencies or professional bodies
  • Detailed knowledge of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit
  • Experience of dealing with complaints in line with regulatory requirements
  • Access and use of personal transport or equivalent.
