(35 hours per week - Permanent position)

£40,635 - £44,619 - EVH Grade 7

Shettleston is a community-based housing association, and a Scottish Charity, which has played a major role in the regeneration of the local area for 45 years.

We are seeking an experienced and customer focussed individual to fill an exciting role within our Customer and Community Services Team. 

We are recruiting for a Factoring Officer who will work with colleagues throughout the Association to provide services to factored owners within our area of operation.

This is an exciting time to be joining our factoring team as we will be undertaking a full review of our factoring service in the coming 12 months and the successful candidate will have an opportunity to help shape the service moving forward.

Key responsibilities include to: 

  • Deliver excellent customer services and to act as the initial point of contact for owners.  Work as part of a team to ensure that excellent performance results are achieved and maintained
  • Assist with billing queries and, where required, follow debt recovery in relation to factoring fees, service charges and common repair bills – in line with Association policy and procedure.
  • To assist in ensuring the Association meets its obligations under the Factoring Code of Conduct (revised 2021).

We are seeking a positive, self-motivated individual who is a team player, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  You will have factoring/property management experience, excellent planning and organisational skills. A recognised property management qualification is desirable.
