Salary: £45,204.00 to £56,557.00 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Asset Management team and we are seeking a dynamic and motivated person to fulfil the role of Group Energy and Sustainability Officer. You will deliver a wide range of energy management and associated analytic activity; energy efficiency assessment and planning along with a range of sustainability activities and initiatives that help support Link Group implement their vision for a more sustainable future. The role will play a pivotal part in crafting Link’s Net Zero and sustainability ambition and contribute to the roadmap for delivery.

The role involves working with colleagues across the organisation to identify and deliver innovative and sustainable energy reducing measures in new build, retrofit and planned maintenance projects – including net zero initiatives for our housing, office accommodation and wider business activity, as well as preparing business cases for new initiatives.

You will establish and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation measures of new and existing renewable installations or tracking effectiveness of fabric first interventions. 

The Requirements

We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also an inspiring advocate in the field of energy and sustainability.  Educated to HND/Diploma or equivalent in construction, building or energy/engineering related field, you will evidence knowledge and skill across energy management and procurement; corporate sustainability; communal/district heating; energy efficiency and renewable energy.

You will have experience of managing energy and sustainability housing initiatives in housing maintenance or a development environment as well as have a good working knowledge of building technology, energy related regulation across social and private rented sector.

This role requires decision making skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision, as part of a team and with advanced data analytic skills, including use of relevant platforms such as MS Excel.

This post is based at Link’s Falkirk office. However, an element of hybrid working is available with this role.
