Head of Development & Sustainability
Job Title
Are you ready to shape the future of housing development and sustainability in the Highlands? We are looking for a visionary Head of Development & Sustainability to lead our dynamic team in Invergordon.
Contract Terms: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Salary: £69,982 - £73,041, Grade B3-B1 + Car allowance
Location: Invergordon with hybrid working
Closing Date: Friday, 14 th March 2025 at 1pm
About the Role
In this key leadership role, you will drive our housing development strategy, oversee impactful sustainability initiatives, and ensure our developments meet the highest standards of quality and environmental performance. You’ll work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders to deliver innovative and affordable housing solutions that create thriving, sustainable communities.
Providing leadership and vision, you will play a pivotal role in Albyn’s mission to provide energy-efficient homes while aligning with Scotland’s net-zero goals. This role offers an exciting blend of strategic leadership, project management, and community impact.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive leader with a passion for sustainable development and a track record of success in housing or construction. Ideally, you’ll have:
• A degree in a related field and membership in a professional body.
• Strong project management skills and experience delivering affordable housing programs.
• A deep understanding of sustainability practices and Scottish housing regulations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, influence stakeholders, and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
Key attributes include excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. Experience with innovative housing solutions and financial oversight in capital and revenue programs will be highly valued.
