SBHA now seeks a new Senior Asset Planning Manager, a pivotal role which will lead the team shaping the future investment of £50m over the next 5 years across 5,600 homes in the Scottish Borders. The investment programme will ensure tenants have safe and energy efficient homes of a high quality – exceeding the national standards. The SBHA team work hard to increase the quality of tenants lives through quality homes and secure tenancies. The new leader will inspire and drive the team to design and plan the investment programme which will have great impact on thousands of families and individuals.

We seek an excellent leader with a strong technical insight who can design and procure the various programmes and ensure SBHA homes are fit for the future. The ideal candidate will be committed to continuous improvement and innovation, they will take a creative approach to problem solving and have a strong interest in ensuring sustainable homes through the use of technology working towards net zero.

In this role you will be the technical expert on asset and health & safety programmes, collaborating with external partners, tenants, stakeholders and colleagues across the association to ensure the investment plans are deliverable and achieve the desired outcomes. Leading your team to deliver excellence you will set high standards and harness a culture of accountability.

Of particular importance will be collaborating with our Head of Programme Delivery to lead on our procurement programme for planned works. You will be at the forefront of designing and executing procurement strategies that underpin the efficient delivery of our planned maintenance and improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include overview of the programme, management of the budget, and dealing with any associated risks that may arise. Your expertise will be crucial in driving cost-effective solutions, optimising procurement processes, and ensuring that our planned works programme supports our mission to provide safe, high-quality homes for our residents.
