A £3.6 million housing scheme in Irvine has reached the final stage of development with North Ayrshire Council's Building Services team set to deliver internal works for the first time.

North Ayrshire Council has started what it calls one of its “most ambitious and exciting” developments to date as work got under way at its latest housing project in Largs.

The first residents have moved into new housing complex in Saltcoats following the successful completion of one of the first residential projects by infrastructure group hub South West. A new development of Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) townhouses is complete in the centre of Dumfries. This week marked the completion of the works, and keys will be handed over to new tenants in the next few days.

Construction work is getting underway on a state-of-the-art sheltered housing complex in Saltcoats. A ground-breaking ceremony signalled the beginning of the £6.48 million project to create 36 new homes for older people.

A development of 22 flats and houses on the main road into Ayr’s town centre has been officially opened after being delivered by Ayrshire Housing. Opened by pupils from the neighbouring Newton Primary School, the homes on King Street are grouped around a courtyard called Cross Gait.
