A group that monitors deaths among homeless people in the UK has warned of a “national emergency” after research found a 12% increase in fatalities over 12 months.

New research has revealed the true impact of Covid on homelessness in Scotland with more than 14 people losing their life every month since the pandemic.
An investigation by a campaign group has found that one homeless person dies every 19 hours on average. Research by the Museum of Homelessness (MoH) suggested that 235 people “affected by homelessness” had died in the last six months.
