Shetland Heat Energy And Power

Shetland Islands Council has agreed a new plan for greener homes, buildings and businesses across the isles.  The Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) looks ahead to the next five years - with the aim of improving quality of life for residents and tackling fuel poverty. 

Shetland’s 10-year-old Thomas Leask and Keiko the cat are set to become internet sensations in a new film highlighting why Lerwick’s district heating system means local people can have warmth, fight fuel poverty and save the planet.
