Shire Housing Association has launched a new and ambitious business strategy for the next five years. The plan builds on the previous period of consolidation and focuses on empowering communities, enhancing social, economic and health wellbeing and addressing climate change.

UK construction and fit-out specialist Morris & Spottiswood has successfully completed a sixteen-week project in partnership with Shire Housing Association to reconstruct a semi-detached property in Dalmellington following an explosion in 2018.

Shire Housing Association has been awarded £37,5000 from the Scottish Government's Communities Recovery Fund. This will help the association to continue working with local community groups dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Shire Housing Association has won a tender to deliver the Care and Repair Service on behalf of the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership for a further three years from 28 November 2020. The Association has successfully delivered the East Ayrshire Care and Repair Service since 2003.

Shire Housing Association has obtained a £10.5 million funding package from Royal Bank of Scotland to refinance existing debt, enable future expansion plans and enhance existing office and tenant facilities.

Shire Housing Association’s long-serving head of customer services Lynn Miller has announced she is stepping down from the role on July 16. Ms Miller has worked for the Association since its inception in 1997.
